...turkey day...

harrison had his 1st thanksgiving. we spent the day at his grandpa and grandma odom's house. he even ate some of his own green beans and sweet potatoes (pureed of course). we didn't get to many pictures (the camara was lost till today) but we did get some video (which one of these days i will figure out how to download off my camara and import onto here) but for now here are the few pictures we did get...

holly 35

i was so happy on wednesday when i got into my car and my xm radio told me that holly 35 had begun! what is holly 35 you ask...christmas music 24/7! i love christmas music so much! i love christmas so much! in fact i think i will dedicate this post to a few of the surfacey reasons why i love christmas:

• going to buffalo
• lots of snow & sledding
• remembering how to drive in the snow
  
• being cozy & bundled up
• christmas music
• lots of yummy meals
• starbucks peppermint mochas & their special christmas cups
  
• christmas parties
• so many reason to go shopping & buy things
• everything is decorated and lit up and so pretty
• italian christmas cookies (this year i am going to make pitzels for the first time by myself!)
  
• getting christmas cards in the mail
• spending time with family & friends
  
• budde/odom time

this year for halloween, harrison really wanted to dress as sarah palin but dad put his foot down and made him go as a tiger. good thing, because he was the cutest tiger i've ever seen. not sure that he quite got the halloween fever, but we got some fun pix that he will enjoy some day. on thursday we went to joey's office for their annual trick-or-treat day where dad showed him off to all his co-workers. on friday we took him to our church's family fun fest where he was quite a hit! he got pretty sleepy after a while and found a good resting spot on dad's shoulder.

five months...well almost....

the batteries in my camera have been dead for a few weeks now and i finally just put some in...of course i cannot get a good picture (but that probably has more to do with my picture taking skills rather than my cute little son.) anyways, i though i'd post a blog to track harrison's five-month milestones...and show this photo of how he sleeps every night. yes, hands behind head and legs folded up. he does not get that from me!

well its been two weeks since my last post and i will blame that on joey. some part of me thought that just maybe he would jump on here and do an entry that would put all of my posts to shame...but i guess not.

not much new has happened in the past two week. i am starting to get REALLY get excited about christmas - i love decorating, and shopping, and wrapping gifts, and christmas parties, and peppermint hot cocoa and going to snowy buffalo! and this is harrison's first christmas (not that he will have any idea what is going on) but it will be fun none the less.

baker's visit

today some good friends from oru visited from memphis...jeremy, amy, and grant baker. grant is four months older than harrison. it was so fun to see the two boys together. joey and i think it will be fun to post these pictures around their oru dorm room someday :)

we really had such a great time hanging out and catching up. amy and i even got to go shopping for a little while while the guys watched the boys. after shopping we met up with some other friends for dinner before the bakers had to get back on the road.

buffalo

harrison took his first trip on an airplane and to buffalo. he did pretty well on the plane ride, i did not do so well. lets just say that i should have listened to joey and started lifting weights before he was born. but after 2 layovers and 3 packed flights we made it!


harrison is a big fan of buffalo he got to:

meet his uncle matt, great-grandma lombardo, great-aunts charlene and linda, great-uncle ian, and many other family and friends for the first time...



see the bills win 2 games and keep their perfect record of 4-0 (he is quite the little bills fan!) ...


eat some real pizza and buffalo wings (not really but we let him pretend when he was eating his rice cereal) ...

enjoy amazing fall weather (why is it still in the 80's in october??) ...

meet his new best-budde...evan david budde - born september 25 (sarah is going to kill me for posting this picture) ...

and get spoiled by his nana and papa for 10 straight days!
