a busy day

we are in buffalo for christmas. harrison is
loving taking everything in! it is so fun to
watch him experience so many new things.

yesterday daddy, papa and uncle matt took him to the botaical gardens. he was memorized by the plants and fish!



he loved wearing daddy's bills hat in the snow!
and yes, there is A LOT of snow!!! we are actully
stuck inside today because it is so bad.


last night he got to see his best bud evan. he hasn't
seen evan since he was a few days old! evan has gotten
so big...now that he is 3 months!


other big news...harrison has cut his first 2 teeth. both
on the bottom. they started to pop up on friday and every
day we are seeing progress. he is also SOO close to crawling
...who knows maybe today will be the day.

...yummy...

i think we may have a weird eater already on our hands. the other day we were at a restaurant and i gave harrison my lemon to suck on. i was so excited for a great face...because who likes to suck on lemons...right?! but NOTHING! he just kept sucking away and then got mad when joey pulled it away from him. so then a few days later we though we'd give him cheerios for the first time. ok it was great! it was like we put the worst thing ever in his mouth. of course when i tried to capture it on video it was not nearly as good as the response we normally get...but still funny nonetheless.

look out ladies...

now that i am officially six months and have had plenty of time to learn about the ladies, i thought that i would take the holiday to start putting this knowledge to work and start spitting some game. sit back and relax as i walk you through an illustrated journey of what a typical day would be like for any of you lucky ladies out there.

not only do the girls like a tough guy, but they want to
know that he will be there for her when she is having a
tough time. it's ok, girl... tell h-bomb all about it.


by this time, she is putty in my hands.
now it's time to make my move...


after all that game has been spat, the ladies have to be pulled away from me. it's all gravy, baby... only so much h-bomb to go around!

harrison had his 1st thanksgiving. we spent the day at his grandpa and grandma odom's house. he even ate some of his own green beans and sweet potatoes (pureed of course). we didn't get to many pictures (the camara was lost till today) but we did get some video (which one of these days i will figure out how to download off my camara and import onto here) but for now here are the few pictures we did get...

i was so happy on wednesday when i got into my car and my xm radio told me that holly 35 had begun! what is holly 35 you ask...christmas music 24/7! i love christmas music so much! i love christmas so much! in fact i think i will dedicate this post to a few of the surfacey reasons why i love christmas:

• going to buffalo
• lots of snow & sledding
• remembering how to drive in the snow
  
• being cozy & bundled up
• christmas music
• lots of yummy meals
• starbucks peppermint mochas & their special christmas cups
  
• christmas parties
• so many reason to go shopping & buy things
• everything is decorated and lit up and so pretty
• italian christmas cookies (this year i am going to make pitzels for the first time by myself!)
  
• getting christmas cards in the mail
• spending time with family & friends
  
• budde/odom time

this year for halloween, harrison really wanted to dress as sarah palin but dad put his foot down and made him go as a tiger. good thing, because he was the cutest tiger i've ever seen. not sure that he quite got the halloween fever, but we got some fun pix that he will enjoy some day. on thursday we went to joey's office for their annual trick-or-treat day where dad showed him off to all his co-workers. on friday we took him to our church's family fun fest where he was quite a hit! he got pretty sleepy after a while and found a good resting spot on dad's shoulder.

five months...well almost....

the batteries in my camera have been dead for a few weeks now and i finally just put some in...of course i cannot get a good picture (but that probably has more to do with my picture taking skills rather than my cute little son.) anyways, i though i'd post a blog to track harrison's five-month milestones...and show this photo of how he sleeps every night. yes, hands behind head and legs folded up. he does not get that from me!
